"Word
Level III" is a 9-hour program providing
detailed word processing
and desktop publishing skills, using Microsoft Word. Prerequisites include a
basic understanding of computer operations and mouse manipulation as provided in
“Intro to Computers”; a working knowledge of the computer operating system
as provided in “Windows Level I”; and successful completion of "Word
Level I & II."

Understanding linking and embedding, sharing information;

Planning a web site, create a simple
web page, add graphics, apply themes and styles, inset and edit hyperlinks;

Using Mail Merge, create main document and data source, enter,
edit and sort records, insert merge fields, perform mail merge;

Create and print labels;

Footnotes, endnotes, comments;

Create an Index, Table of Contents;

Creating and Applying Character Styles;

Using AutoFormat and the Style Gallery;

Modifying Styles and Applying New Styles;

Creating your own toolbars and customizing Word;
