WIA Youth Program

How do you get a job without any experience? How do you get experience without a job? Let Tracy Blair with Corry’s “WIA Youth” program give you a hand. The WIA Youth program is designed for low-income young adults ages 18-21 who have faced at least one of the following barriers to employment: pregnant or custodial parent; prior placement with the legal system or other legal barrier; foster child; homeless; runaway; or a learning barrier. The WIA program can provide job shadowing opportunities, work experience, partial wage reimbursement to employers, short-term education assistance and tutoring assistance. Office hours at the Corry Hi-Ed are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Call 663-2376 for more info or to make an appointment.
