Welding is a great skill to have,
whether its for employment, working on your own equipment, or fulfills a
home-school requirement. This course has been designed in conjunction with
local manufacturers to prepare individuals for entry-level welding
positions. Led by Corry Area High School welding Instructor John
Dougherty, this 60-hour course will be held in Corry Area High School
Career & Technical Center, Room 99 and includes instruction in: basic
skills; print reading; oxy-fuel cutting and welding; use of tack burner and
pipe beveler; shielded metal arc general; shielded metal arc 3/8-inch
plate; and shielded metal arc pipe. Participation will result in both a
letter grade and competency checklist helpful to employers. This class
is limited to only 10 students so register early.

held in Corry Area High School Career & Technical Center, Room 99 and
includes continuing education in Mig and Tig welding of steel and aluminum
in different positions. You will also work with plasma cutting, and some
blueprint reading. Participation will result in both a letter grade and
competency checklist helpful to employers. This class is limited to
