starting at the cellular level and progressing into skeletal,

March 16 - July 6
This course provides a basic introduction to the
format of CPT codes as well as CPT coding conventions. It will also offer
you an opportunity to demonstrate different ways to locate CPT codes through
the use of the codebook’s index. You will learn ways to ensure accurate code
assignment through the application of coding guidelines from the AMA and
CMS. Finally, this course will help you delineate the documentations
necessary for code assignment. Prerequisite: Medical Terminology and
Anatomy & Physiology or permission of the instructor.

This course will provide you with an introduction to
the ICD-9 coding system. You will learn how coding procedures relate to
medical reimbursement and office operations. This course will help prepare
you for the American Health Information Management Association’s Certified
Coding Associate Exam. Prerequisite: Diagnosis & Procedure CPT/ HCPCS
Coding or permission of the instructor.
