This 60-hour Introduction to Machining
course is for those interested in learning about metalworking or pursuing a job in manufacturing. Participants
will also learn to operate an engine lathe and a vertical milling machine,
learn to measure to the thousandth of an inch using micrometers, calipers
and a dial indicator, as well as learn to interpret simple blueprints in
order to make precision parts. This class will be held at Corry High School
CTC. Instructor Tim Vanderhoof. Participation results in a letter
grade that will be helpful to employers.
