(Allows moderate to lower income
participants to earn $1 for every $1 they save for an approved purpose
over a one-year period!)
WHO: Open to
any
residents of the Corry or Union City School Districts whose family
income falls within the Federal/State guidelines.
WHAT: A sponsored savings program that matches every dollar saved
with a matching dollar up to $1,000 through the Erie Community
Foundation.
WHEN: The Money Works 4 You Program enrollment period is 12
to 15 months, with an application deadline of Friday June 27
in Corry and Union City.
WHERE: Corry Hi-Ed, 221 N. Center St, Corry, PA 16407, or Union
City Family Support Center, 38 N. Main St., Union City, PA 16438.
HOW: File an application, meet with staff, establish a goal and
savings amount (minimum $520, maximum $1,000.)
WHY: Earn money to pay the down payment on a house, home repairs,
further your education, start a business, purchase an
auto/furniture/appliances.
AND: Learn how to manage debt, budget, set long range financial
goals, access government sponsored home mortgage programs, and much
more!!! |
